THE BUSINESS OF TURNING 30-SOMETHING

I’m coming clean here (although you may know it already). I’m not your average blogger, I’m not skinny, I don’t have the desired body type and I’m not magazine material. At least, I don’t think I am. Still, what I know for sure is that I have some style ideas worth sharing. Anyway, the most ‘shocking’ difference between me and other fashion-bloggers out there, is the fact that I’m not in my twenties anymore (that ship sailed long ago). Again, even though I’m not in the usual age-range, I’m confident there should be a little something for everyone.

Today, I’m turning thirty- … yeah, like I’m going to tell! You just have to know it’s somewhere in between 30 and 40 (oh my little infinity, yep I just finished reading The Fault in Our Stars, great btw). I feel fabulous though, even knowing I don’t look like a model (I never did, not even in my 20s) and now more than ever I’m re-running that SATC episode where Carrie gets featured on the cover of a magazine, with the title “30 and fabulous?” splashed right there on top of her, let’s face it, not that stunning pic. I’m definitely going to side with her anyway, it should have been an exclamation point! So, happy birthday to me… I’m feeling like wine here, getting better with age! (Modesty just left the building).
